The Garden House at La Saugie

Sablet is a small, quiet  hilltop village nestled at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail

Sablet Village

Its round construction, built around the 14th century church, is a pleasure to explore.  Enjoy a stroll around the village, stop for coffee in the bar or lunch in one of 3 restaurants.
For wine lovers the lush hillsides around the village produce wines of great quality and the renowned villages of Gigondas, Chateauneuf du Pape, Rasteau and Seguret are just minutes away.

Walkers and mountain bikers will not be disappointed with the paths and tracks of the Dentelles de Montmirail, just a few minutes walk from the village.

Unlike many other small villages, Sablet is lucky to have a number of shops right in the centre of the village.  There are 2 bakers, 2 hairdressers, a grocers, a butcher, a bar that also serves food at lunchtime, 2 restaurants, a bank with cash machine and more.  Everything you need and all within walking distance of La Saugie.

Visit the Tourist Information Office in Sablet which doubles as a Caveau/Wine Shop where you can taste and buy all the wine from the local Vineyards.
